Bahrain chairs GCC meeting on tourism cooperation

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) CEO Sara  Buhiji chaired a virtual meeting of GCC tourism undersecretaries as part of Bahrain’s presidency of the 46th GCC session and preparations for the 10th meeting of GCC Tourism Ministers.

The meeting focused on strengthening regional tourism cooperation and advancing initiatives under the GCC tourism sector support plan.

Discussions covered joint tourism promotion and marketing campaigns, media initiatives, and development of the GCC Tourism Data Dashboard. 

Officials also reviewed tourism statistics and data exchange, a unified tourism guide licence, the Gulf Tourism Capital initiative, international cooperation, joint events, and hotel classification guidelines. -TradeArabia News Service
