Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has received four recognitions from Airports Council International (ACI) covering customer experience, arrivals service quality, accessibility, and public health and safety readiness.
The awards include Airport Customer Experience Accreditation
Level 5 for the second consecutive year, ASQ Best Airport by Arrivals Globally,
also for the second year, renewal of the Public Health and Safety Readiness
Accreditation, and Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation Level 2 for 2026.

Airport Company (BAC), received the recognitions during the ACI World Airport
Experience Summit in Istanbul, TĂĽrkiye.
Level 5 is the highest tier of ACI’s Airport Customer
Experience Accreditation programme, reflecting BIA’s continued focus on
customer service across strategy, operations, governance and organisational
culture.
The ASQ recognition is based on passenger feedback and
highlights the quality and efficiency of arriving passenger services.
Khalid Hussain Taqi, Chairman of Gulf Air Group, said the
achievements reflect BAC’s strategy and employees’ dedication, alongside
cooperation among airport partners and stakeholders.
Ahmed Mohamed Janahi, BAC Chief Executive Officer, said the
recognitions demonstrate the company’s commitment to improving the passenger
journey, while the renewed health and safety accreditation confirms BIA’s
preparedness to manage public health risks.
The Level 2 accessibility accreditation highlights efforts
