SalamAir, Oman’s low-cost carrier, has launched a new direct service between Muscat and Kigali, Rwanda, expanding its African network.
The inaugural ceremony was held at Muscat International
Airport, attended by aviation officials, government representatives, travel
partners and media.
The first flight to Kigali will depart on July 21, following
the opening of ticket sales on April 30, 2026.
Operating twice weekly, the route will provide passengers
with an affordable and convenient connection between the two destinations.
Dan Munyuza, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the
Sultanate of Oman, said: “The launch of direct flights between Kigali and
Muscat marks an important milestone in strengthening connectivity between
Rwanda and the Sultanate of Oman. This new route will support the growing
movement of travellers, businesses, and goods between our two countries,
while creating further opportunities for tourism, trade, and investment. We
welcome this development and look forward to seeing it contribute to stronger
bilateral ties and closer engagement between our people.”
