Mannesmann Energy is advancing a project with ADNOC to upgrade existing facilities and increase production capacity at its NEB CPP assets in Al-Nouf, Rumaitha and Shanayel, alongside plans to sign two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with international oil and gas equipment manufacturers to expand its technology and product offering in the UAE.
The company intends to
sign an agreement with ADNOC to implement the facility upgrade project, as well
as MoUs with China's JINGBO, a manufacturer of high-pressure oilfield hoses,
and PETROTEX Group, a global supplier of tubular products for the oil and gas
industry and offshore systems.
Under the proposed
partnerships, Mannesmann Energy will become the exclusive agent and
representative of both companies in the UAE, facilitating the marketing and
supply of their products, managing local commercial relationships and pursuing
business opportunities and contracts.
Anas Aljuaidi,
CEO of Mannesmann Energy, told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines
of ADIPEC 2026 that the ADNOC project aims to increase production capacity,
strengthen asset integrity and operational resilience, ensure business continuity
and support sustainable long-term asset development in line with ADNOC's
strategic objectives.
The JINGBO partnership
will introduce high-pressure hoses used in well-control operations during
drilling, including blowout preventer (BOP) hoses and choke and kill hoses.
PETROTEX's product
portfolio includes premium oil country tubular goods (OCTG), casing and
production tubing, proprietary premium connections, conductor pipes and
offshore riser systems for onshore and offshore wells.
Aljuaidi said the
agreements form part of Mannesmann Energy's wider strategy to expand its
international technology partnerships and bring specialised products and
solutions to the UAE market.
The company currently
maintains more than 20 technology partnerships with international firms. These
include an MoU with Bosch covering renewable and clean energy, cooperation with
Shuangliang on manufacturing alkaline electrolysers for hydrogen production,
and an exclusive strategic partnership with Suzhou Douson involving oil and gas
field development equipment.
ADNOC partnership
and project portfolio
The NEB CPP project
comes as Mannesmann Energy marks the 10th anniversary of its strategic
partnership with ADNOC, spanning 2016 to 2026. Over the past decade, the
company has delivered major pipeline construction and infrastructure
development projects, with ADNOC-awarded projects valued at approximately AED1
billion.
Its project portfolio
includes 10 utility projects for ADNOC Group companies and a centralised leak
detection system for ADNOC Gas Processing covering 26 pipelines with a combined
length of approximately 3,000 kilometres.
Other projects include
the region's first high-speed hydrogen vehicle refuelling station in Masdar
City, the Al Hosn sulphur pipeline project and the main gas injection pipeline
relocation project at the Asab field for ADNOC Onshore.
Aljuaidi said
discussions with ADNOC and other energy sector operators during ADIPEC are
focused on implementation steps for the NEB CPP project, potential facility
upgrades and opportunities to increase production capacity.
Meetings with
international manufacturers and technology providers are also addressing
technology transfer, localisation and new representation agreements, while
discussions with suppliers aim to strengthen local supply chains and register
additional vendors.
Expanding local
capabilities
Mannesmann Energy is a
wholly Emirati-owned independent company specialising in engineering,
procurement and construction (EPC) and technology integration across the oil
and gas, sustainability and infrastructure sectors.
Its services cover
consultancy studies, value engineering, front-end engineering design (FEED),
project execution, commissioning and after-sales support.
The company is also
engaging with industry professionals at ADIPEC to recruit engineers and project
leaders to support its expansion.
Aljuaidi said
Mannesmann Energy is organising a roundtable during the exhibition to discuss
contractor relations with ADNOC as a strategic partner, project execution and
opportunities to strengthen cooperation.
He highlighted ADNOC's project management approach, flexibility towards contractors and openness to dialogue on adjustments required to address operational needs.
