Alba boosts local talent development with new appointment

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world’s largest aluminium smelter on one site, has announced the appointment of Ahmed Mazen Matar, a Bahraini national, as its new Manager Training effective October 30. 

In this pivotal role, Matar will oversee the design and implementation of training programmes across Alba’s operations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and the company’s long-term vision.

Commenting on the appointment, Alba’s CEO Ali Al Baqali said: "We’re pleased to welcome Ahmed to Alba. By investing in Bahraini talent, we’re building a workforce that reflects our values and our vision for the future."

Having previously served in leadership positions at well-known organisations in Bahrain, Matar brings over 10 years of experience in training and development. 

He holds a BA in Management and Marketing from Ahlia University, Bahrain, and has furthered his education through international programmes at the University of Houston and Cardiff University.-TradeArabia News Service
