Alba CEO unveils 2025 objectives at annual majlis

ALBA, the world’s largest aluminium smelter on a single site, has convened its annual majlis for five days.

The event, which started yesterday, serves as a platform to foster open dialogue, two-way communication between the company’s top management and employees through multiple live sessions conducted in a hybrid format – both in-person and virtually.

At the inaugural majlis session yesterday at Alba Oasis Hall, the company’s chief executive Ali Al Baqali unveiled the company’s bold and inspiring objectives for 2025: ‘Be an Albawee’, ‘Tapping into Talent’, ‘Alba’s Open Space’, and ‘e-Al Hassalah Year-2’.

The inaugural session was attended by Alba’s executives, directors, and managers, where the chief executive presented key highlights of the company’s operational performance in 2024 – progress of Power Station 5 Block 4 Project, launch of the low-carbon product line - EternAlTM, achievement of an impressive 29 million safe-working hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) record, while also marking the eighth consecutive summer with zero heat-related injuries and illnesses last year.

Speaking at the session, Mr Al Baqali said: “Once again, through the strength and dedication of every single Albawee, power of teamwork and our unwavering commitment to preparedness, we have not only achieved remarkable success but also set new benchmarks for excellence. We look forward to scale to new heights in 2025, driven by our ambitious objectives and past success, to achieve even greater milestones on multiple fronts.”

To ensure maximum participation, three additional sessions of Alba’s annual majlis are planned, targeting employees across all levels – from superintendents and heads to shopfloor employees – ensuring inclusivity for Alba family working across all shifts.
