Musco launches new lighting solutions manufacturing facility in Dammam

Musco a specialist in sports and large area lighting and technology recently opened a new manufacturing facility in Dammam Saudi Arabia. The 5 600 sq-m building includes manufacturing office space and a 34 000 sq-m yard for shipping receiving and inventory. The Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA) and Modon the authority for industrial cities and technology zones provided support to Musco in establishing this new facility. They facilitated introductions to suitable industrial zones coordinated with local authorities and provided guidance through licensing and regulatory processes the company said. Dubai starts lighting upgrades at 30 pedestrian bridges

Dubai s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that it has begun work on a project to upgrade the lighting of pedestrian bridges at 30 key locations across Dubai. RTA has adopted smart and sustainable solutions for the project designing the lighting systems to operate using motion-sensor technology. The lights switch on automatically when pedestrian movement is detected on the bridge improving energy efficiency and reducing operating costs while maintaining high levels of safety and security said RTA in a statement.
