Tamkeen revamps career development programmes

Tamkeen has unveiled enhancements to its career development programmes aiming to strengthen the skillsets and leadership potential of the national workforce. The move aligns with Tamkeen s 2024 strategy focused on boosting economic participation and private sector development. The revamped programmes target to empower 50 000 Bahrainis annually through targeted initiatives and partnerships. A key update involves the Leadership Employment Programme which now offers incentives for companies to raise wages of Bahraini employees promoted to leadership roles. Tamkeen will cover 100 per cent of wage increases ranging from 5pc to 20pc for 24 months subject to eligibility criteria. The Enterprise Training Support Programme also received an upgrade expanding coverage to include accredited certifications in specialised technical leadership and administrative skills alongside internal training programmes. This broader support aims to equip Bahrainis with in-demand skillsets for career advancement. Tamkeen will also offer 50pc support for certifications related to personal and local skills development. The programmes are instrumental in developing our national workforce and fostering partnerships with the private sector said Tamkeen chief executive Maha Mofeez. She emphasised the commitment to incentivise employee growth while urging institutions to prioritise workforce development. These initiatives Ms Mofeez added promote employee retention enhance career prospects for Bahrainis and empower them to build successful professional futures. Tamkeen s efforts have demonstrably impacted the labour market. Since 2023 the organisation has facilitated job placements for over 12 300 Bahrainis and provided training support to 10 700 individuals. Additionally more than 5 100 institutions have benefitted from Tamkeen s programmes highlighting its widespread influence. The revamped programmes dovetail with Tamkeen s 2024 strategic pillars: increasing economic participation through job creation expanding career development opportunities for Bahrainis and fostering private sector growth through enterprise support and technology adoption.

Tamkeen Human Resources Company one of Saudi Arabia s premier providers of innovative human resources solutions has set the final offer price at SAR50 ( 13.3) per share following the successful completion of the individual investor offering period and final allotment of shares in relation to its initial public offering (IPO). Bahrain’s Tamkeen launches new wage support tracks

Bahrain s Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has announced new updates to the National Employment Programme aimed at incentivising the employment of national talent and providing additional solutions catered to employers needs. These updates include support for the Ministry of Labour s Jobs programme where employers can receive subsidies for recruited candidates. Bahrain s Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has intensified inspection visits to enterprises and individuals benefiting from programmes aimed at supporting employment and career development at a rate six times higher than before.
