AMA’s Structural & Mechanical Division (AMA-SMD) has the largest Fabrication Facility in Bahrain. Established in 1990 and employing approx. 800 employees, AMA-SMD’s fabrication facility has a covered workshop area of 32,000m2 having 10 workshops including a painting shop and an open area of 150,000m2.
AMA-SMD SCOPE OF WORK/SERVICE:
AMA-SMD Scope of Work/Service includes Detailed Engineering & Preparation of Shop Drawings, Procurement of Materials, Fabrication, Blasting & Painting, Delivery to Site and Erection/Installation of fabricated steel inside Bahrain for:
Structural Steel
Steel Plate works (viz. Ducts, Chutes, etc.)
Piping Spools (process and utility piping)
Static Equipment (pressure vessels, shell & tube heat exchangers, storage tanks, etc.)
Since its inception, AMA-SMD has been working with leading EPC Contractors and End-users including KOBE STEEL, SNC LAVALIN, BECHTEL, SIDEM, FOSTER WHEELER, NKM NOELL, SIEMENS, SOLIOS, DEGREMONT, ALBA, EMAL, BAPCO, MA’ADEN, HADEED, etc. for supply & fabrication of above equipment to GCC countries and around the globe including America, Canada & Europe.
AMA-SMD’s QHSE System is in strict compliance with ISO9001-2008, ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 requirement and its Fabrication Shop is accredited with ASME ‘U, S, PP’ and NBBI ‘R’ certifications.
AMA-SMD’s ‘state of the art’ fabrication facility continues to be updated and modernized through addition of new equipment and technology enabling it to handle EPC projects for core sector industries including O&G, Petrochemical/Chemical, Power & Water, Aluminum/Steel, Cement, etc.
