Al Areen Development Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ennismore, a global lifestyle hospitality company, to manage and operate the Rixos hotel located next to Janat Dilmun Water Park in Al Areen, as part of the Al Areen Master Plan in Bahrain.
The MoU was signed
during Gateway Gulf 2026.
Under the agreement,
the hotel is planned to be relaunched under the Rixos brand following a
development and upgrade programme in line with the brand's standards.
The hotel will feature
guest rooms, hotel villas, Rixos branded residential apartments, restaurants, a
spa, a gym, ballroom and meeting facilities, and a kids' club.
The project is
directly connected to Janat Dilmun Water Park, Bahrain's largest water park,
creating an integrated hospitality and entertainment destination for families
and visitors from Bahrain and abroad.
Dr. Ahlam Zainal,
Chief Executive Officer of Al Areen Development, said the introduction of Rixos
would complement Janat Dilmun Water Park and contribute to the development of
Al Areen as an integrated residential, hospitality, and leisure destination. She
highlighted the company's commitment to attracting international brands and
supporting Bahrain's position as a regional tourism destination.
Dr. Essa Faqeeh, Chief
Executive Officer of Areen Hospitality, said the collaboration with Ennismore
would bring a new hospitality offering to Al Areen, combining hotel
accommodation with access to Janat Dilmun Water Park to provide families and
visitors with an integrated leisure experience.
Francois Baudin, Chief Business Officer of Accor, said the project would bring Rixos' family hospitality concept to Al Areen through an integrated offering that includes branded residences, entertainment, wellness facilities, and a kids' club. He noted that the development would complement Janat Dilmun Water Park and contribute to the wider Al Areen Master Plan. -TradeArabia News Service
