IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of Yas World Resort, formerly Yas Plaza Hotels, on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, to its Vignette Collection brand. Developed by Aldar, the resort brings together six distinct hotels under one integrated destination, becoming the world’s largest Vignette Collection property.
The resort features more than 1,400 rooms and suites across six hotels,
offering guests a choice of accommodation experiences alongside shared access
to a private beach, swimming pools, restaurants, wellness facilities and
leisure amenities. Guests will also benefit from proximity to Yas Island’s
leading theme parks and entertainment attractions.
The addition marks a significant expansion of IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle
portfolio, which is the second largest globally, and reinforces the group's
continued growth across the Middle East.
Vignette Collection is built around the concept of individuality and
belonging, bringing together hotels with distinct identities while maintaining
a shared commitment to authentic hospitality. At Yas World Resort, each of the
six hotels reflects a different aspect of Yas Island.
Verde takes inspiration from the island’s surrounding mangroves, while
Vista reflects the bay. Pulse celebrates motorsport and the Yas Marina Circuit,
Horizon draws on the marina, Fairway is inspired by the island’s golf
landscape, and Haven focuses on comfort and extended stays.
Together, the hotels offer guests different experiences within one
connected resort, allowing visitors to select accommodation that matches their
preferences while enjoying shared facilities.
Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG
Hotels & Resorts, said: “Welcoming Yas World Resort into Vignette
Collection marks a significant addition to IHG’s growing luxury and lifestyle
portfolio across the region, and a strong reflection of the ambition shaping
tourism in Abu Dhabi. As the world’s largest Vignette Collection destination,
the resort brings together six distinctive hotels in one integrated experience,
offering greater choice for travellers while remaining deeply connected to the
character and culture of Yas Island. This landmark milestone reinforces our
commitment to strategic growth with our owners and partners, and to creating
exceptional destinations that attract guests from across the region and around
the world.”
Aldar Hospitality CEO, Kapil Aggarwal, said: "Yas World Resort
marks an important milestone in Aldar's hospitality transformation and reflects
our long-term commitment to Yas Island as one of the world's leading leisure
and entertainment destinations. By reimagining six hotels as one connected
resort, opening private beach access at Cyan Beach and partnering with IHG to
bring Vignette Collection to the island, we have created a destination that
offers greater choice, richer experiences and lasting value for guests and for
Abu Dhabi's tourism sector. It is a clear example of how we continue to invest
in places that grow and evolve with the emirate's ambitions."
Among the resort’s facilities is Cyan Beach, a private stretch of
shoreline offering guests access to the beach and food and beverage services by
the water. The beach complements six swimming pools across the property, while
three spas, three children's clubs, gyms and padel, tennis and squash courts
provide additional recreation and wellness options.
Dining is another key feature, with 21 food and beverage outlets
offering a variety of cuisines and concepts across the six hotels and shared
resort spaces. Options range from breakfast and café experiences to family
dining and evening restaurants, catering to different tastes and occasions.
Fabien Chesnais, General Manager of Yas World Resort, said: “The beauty
of Yas World Resort is that no two stays need ever feel the same. Each of our
six hotels has its own character and story, inspired by the spirit of Yas
Island, yet together they invite guests to discover something bigger than a
traditional resort experience. We want every guest to leave feeling they have
connected not only with the destination, but with moments and memories that are
uniquely their own.”
The resort will also incorporate Vignette Collection’s signature guest
experiences, including its Memorable Rituals initiative. At Yas World Resort,
the arrival experience features "Marhaba El-Saa," an Emirati-inspired
welcome celebrating local traditions of hospitality and generosity.
Guests are also introduced to a bespoke fragrance developed in
partnership with House of Artisans, Abu Dhabi, which supports the preservation
of traditional Emirati craftsmanship. The fragrance is presented in a keepsake
bottle for visitors to take home.
Under the brand’s Means For Good initiative, the resort will showcase
handcrafted Emirati products available for guests to discover and purchase.
Proceeds will support local artisans and contribute to preserving traditional
crafts, aligning with IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow responsible business
commitments.
Located on Yas Island, the resort provides access to major attractions
including Ferrari World Yas Island, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld Yas
Island and Yas Waterworld Yas Island. Other nearby destinations include Yas
Marina Circuit, Etihad Arena, Etihad Park, Yas Links, Yas Mall and CLYMB Abu
Dhabi.
IHG said Yas World Resort will continue to evolve, with further
improvements planned across its dining, wellness and sports facilities.
Guests can also benefit from IHG One Rewards, the group's loyalty
programme, which allows members to earn and redeem points across all six
hotels, alongside the wider IHG portfolio. -TradeArabia News Service
