Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), the world’s largest express transportation company, has launched dangerous goods transportation capabilities across its Middle East Road Network, enabling customers to move eligible regulated goods by road across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman, using its Regional Economy and Regional Economy Freight services.
The capability provides industries with complex supply chains such as healthcare and life sciences, energy and petrochemicals, hi-tech, and beauty and personal care, with safe and compliant transportation of regulated material within the region.
Eligible commodities may include healthcare materials, laboratory reagents, diagnostic samples, dry ice shipments, chemicals, lithium batteries, and a range of other dangerous goods, subject to commodity, origin, destination, and regulatory requirements, it stated.
“As industrial activity and intra-regional trade across the GCC continue to grow, businesses are navigating increasingly complex supply chains,” said Taarek Hinedi, Vice President of Operations and Planning & Engineering, FedEx Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa.
“Expanding the capabilities of our Middle East Road Network to support dangerous goods gives businesses greater flexibility to move critical commodities across GCC markets. Backed by our compliance controls, operational expertise, and regional connectivity, this capability supports industries as they build more resilient and connected supply chains,” he noted.

Through Regional Economy and Freight services, eligible dangerous goods shipments benefit from:
*Day-definite Regional Economy services
*Road transportation aligned with applicable ADR requirements
*Customs-cleared movements
*End-to-end shipment visibility and
*Dedicated dangerous goods handling controls
The FedEx Middle East Road Network is integrated into the broader FedEx network through the company’s Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa hub at Dubai World Central (DWC) airport, which connects FedEx air and road services across the region.
From the hub at DWC, FedEx Middle East Road Network trucks operate across GCC corridors using a dedicated fleet of TIR-registered vehicles, with GPS-tracked and customs-cleared movements monitored around the clock through a dedicated control tower, with end-to-end shipment visibility, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
