The Government Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO) has announced the activation of flynas under the unified framework agreement for government travel services, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the National Centre for Government Resource Systems.
The move increases the number of participating airlines to
four, alongside Saudia, flyadeal and Riyadh Air, strengthening competition and
expanding travel options for government employees and beneficiaries of
government travel services.
The addition of flynas is expected to increase seat
capacity, expand destination coverage and flight schedules, and provide greater
booking flexibility and a wider range of service packages to meet the needs of
public-sector travellers.
The activation will also expand travel options available
through the Etimad platform, providing an integrated digital process covering
travel order creation, flight booking and electronic ticket issuance.
EXPRO said the initiative will help improve operational
efficiency while enhancing the customer experience.
The unified procurement framework is one of EXPRO’s
contracting mechanisms for government entities under the Government Tenders and
Procurement Law.
It enables the authority to negotiate unified agreements
with service providers to achieve better value for public funds, reduce
procurement time, standardize prices and service specifications, and improve
service quality.
EXPRO said flynas’ activation forms part of its efforts to
diversify suppliers and expand the number of participating carriers, supporting
greater flexibility and efficiency in government travel services while meeting
