Bahrain, Japan discuss energy cooperation

Bahrain Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr Mohammed Bin Daina received Japan’s State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Kenji Yamada to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in energy and exploring investment opportunities in the sector.

Bin Daina highlighted the close Bahrain-Japan relationship and growing partnership, stressing the importance of building on progress in bilateral cooperation and expanding the exchange of expertise, particularly in energy and related technologies.

The two sides also reviewed global energy developments and changing production and consumption patterns, emphasising the role of innovation and modern technologies in improving efficiency and sustainability.

Yamada praised Bahrain’s progress in developing its energy sector and reaffirmed Japan’s interest in expanding cooperation and further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
