Saudi Chemical Company Holding has announced the commencement of commercial production at its TNT production plant, following the completion of all operational readiness requirements.
The company said the development was announced through its subsidiary, Saudi Chemical Company Limited, with commercial production commencing on August 31, 2026. The plant is operating in compliance with approved international military specifications and standards, the company said in a Saudi Exchange filing.
The announcement follows the company’s April 28, 2026 disclosure to the Saudi Exchange, in which it reported the completion of the trial operation phase of the TNT production line and the production of its first batch in accordance with approved international military standards and specifications.
Since then, the company said it has completed all requirements necessary for commercial operations, including verification of the readiness of systems and equipment and ensuring the availability of raw materials.
Saudi Chemical Company Holding said there had been no material change in the costs associated with the project compared with its previous announcement, with the latest developments falling within the project’s approved budget.
