Saudi Arabia’s cement sales volumes recorded a solid boost rising 5.5% month-on-month in July to 4.63 million tonnes, while it was down 1.8% over last year, according to data released by Al Rajhi, a leading financial services group in Saudi Arabia.
Yamama Cement dominated its position as the market leader, with a 15.3% share of year-to-date cement sales through July, followed by Saudi Cement with a 13.7% share.
Clinker inventories increased 0.7% month-on-month to 45.1 million tonnes in July, with inventory levels rising in the Eastern, Western and Northern regions, according to the data.
