Abu Dhabi-based Gulf Marine Services (GMS), a leading provider of self-propelled, self-elevating support vessels to the offshore energy industry, has announced a four-year charter for one of its self-elevating accommodation units, to be deployed offshore Brazil.
The contract, signed with an international offshore accommodation services provider, comprises 1,461 days of firm charter and builds on GMS’s entry into Latin America announced in May.
The vessel is scheduled to be delivered to the charterer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, between August and November, said the Abu Dhabi group in a statement.
Mansour Al Alami, Executive Chairman of GMS, said the four-year charter secures long-term utilisation for one of its newest vessels and strengthens its growing presence in Latin America.
“It reflects strong global demand for high-quality self-elevating units and validates our strategy of diversifying into new markets. We look forward to supporting our client's operations in Brazil safely and efficiently over the coming years,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
