Oman strengthens aviation safety with new cooperation deal

Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with Oman Aviation Academy to strengthen collaboration in aviation incident and accident investigations.

The agreement aims to build national expertise, improve technical readiness and enhance aviation safety standards in the Sultanate.

Signed by Khamis Al Shammakhi and Dr Abdullah Al Abri, the MoC will support knowledge exchange, specialised training programmes and the development of national aviation personnel.

It also includes emergency exercises to improve investigation teams’ response capabilities and operational efficiency.

The partnership reflects Oman’s commitment to adopting international best practices and advancing safety in the aviation sector. -TradeArabia News Service
