Saudi Arabia's Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef on Monday visited Ras Al-Khair Port alongside other key facilities to review the readiness of vital facilities.

During the tour, Alkhorayef, who also chairs the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, inspected several facilities operated by Maaden, as well as the commission's operations center in Ras Al-Khair Industrial City.

The visit aimed to assess the readiness of critical facilities and monitor the efficiency of supply chains, transport, and maritime operations, supporting business continuity and enhancing operational resilience amid regional developments, said a Saudi Press Agency report.

At Ras Al-Khair Port, the minister reviewed logistics operations, transport and navigation activity, and mineral export flows. He also inspected the port's services and support facilities, which contribute to operational stability, improved supply chain efficiency, and stronger integration between industrial and mining activities.

The tour also included the Maaden Phosphate Company complex, where Alkhorayef reviewed operational readiness and emergency response systems at the crisis and disaster management center. He stressed the importance of adhering to the highest safety and sustainability standards, noting the system's role in improving response to operational challenges and managing evolving conditions effectively.

He also visited the Maaden Aluminum Company and watched a presentation on the company's expansion plans and production capacities. The briefing highlighted the integration between relevant entities and the private sector to support industrial and mining growth and enhance the Kingdom’s investment competitiveness.

The minister concluded his visit at the royal commission’s operations centre, where he inspected the operations coordination and monitoring room, the fire station, and the approved field monitoring and response system there. He commended the center’s advanced infrastructure, a qualified national workforce, and efficient operations management.
