Asry highlights role of youth in long-term growth strategy

The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (Asry) firmly believes in the role of youth as key partners in achieving success and sustainability, said its top official while speaking on the occasion of Bahrain Youth Day, adding that it had recently launched several impactful initiatives designed to develop their skills and foster their engagement.

Celebrated every year on March 25, it is a day that reflects the strength, ambition and impact of young people across the Bahrain.

From leadership messages to real achievements on the ground, Bahraini youth continue to play a vital role in shaping the nation’s future. Their dedication, unity, and drive remain at the heart of Bahrain’s ongoing progress.

Founded in 1977 in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Asry operates in four sectors – Ship Repair & Conversion, Rig Repair & Conversion, Naval Repair & Conversion, and Fabrication & Engineering– which combined cover all types of vessel repair including jack-up rigs and other offshore assets, as well as fabrication of onshore and offshore industrial components.

Asry CEO Dr Ahmed Al Abri said Bahraini Youth Day reflects the strong focus of the kingdom’s wise leadership on empowering Bahraini youth and supporting their essential role in the country’s overall development.

"We have recently launched several impactful initiatives designed to develop their skills and foster their engagement. Among the most notable are the Happiness Committee, the ASRY Ambassadors initiative, the ‘Binaa’ program, the ASRY Toastmasters Club, as well as the ‘Ibtikar’ Award, which encourages creativity and innovation within the workplace," stated Al Abri.

"These initiatives are part of the company’s strategy to create a stimulating work environment that supports young talent and provides them with opportunities to grow and develop, positively impacting the company’s performance and its contribution to the national economy," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
