The American Accreditation Commission International (AACI), a premier organisation providing healthcare accreditation and clinical excellence certification, has announced the appointment of Dheeraj Khatore as its new Regional CEO for the Middle East and North Africa.
The key appointment, which was formally approved by the AACI board, represents a significant milestone in AACI’s global expansion strategy, said the organisation in a statement.
This leadership decision reinforces AACI’s long-term commitment to strengthening healthcare quality, patient safety, and accreditation excellence across the Mena region, it stated.
AACI will conduct its Mena operations through the newly established AACI Medical Services, headquartered in Abu Dhabi. This structure ensures strong local presence, regulatory alignment, and sustainable regional growth, it added.
In his new role, Khatore will oversee the full spectrum of AACI’s operations throughout the Mena region, including strategic business development; client and stakeholder engagement; implementation of accreditation and certification programmes as well as regional operational governance.
He currently serves as Regional CEO for India and Africa, where he has successfully led significant market expansion and organisational growth. Under his leadership, AACI has achieved measurable progress in market penetration, operational efficiency, and client engagement in India.
Replicating this proven business model in Mena is a strategic and logical next step in AACI’s international development roadmap, it added.
Welcoming him into the new leadership role, Dr. John Bell, AACI President, said: "Khatore's demonstrated performance, regional insight, and commitment to advancing healthcare standards align perfectly with AACI’s mission to improve healthcare quality globally."
With this appointment, AACI strengthens its positioning as a dynamic and rapidly growing international accreditation body. The organization is now on a clear trajectory toward becoming a leading healthcare accreditation partner in the Mena region, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
