Kuwait Airways and Emirates Airlines have announced an expansion of their commercial cooperation, offering passengers enhanced travel options.
In April, the two
companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their bilateral
partnership agreement, aiming to provide passengers more travel options to
Dubai and other operating routes across their network.
With this expansion,
Kuwait Airways will have access to 19 international destinations within
Emirates’ global network, covering multiple regions and countries around the
world including Australia, China, Cyprus, Japan, the United States, South Africa,
and others.
This will offer Kuwait
Airways passengers greater connectivity and convenience across a diverse
network of destinations.
In return, Emirates
will have access to 8 destinations within Kuwait Airways’ network,
including key points in Egypt, Turkey, Iraq, and Azerbaijan, providing its
passengers with expanded travel options to these important markets.
Kuwait Airways
Chairman, Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan, stated: “Kuwait Airways is pleased to expand
its route network with Emirates, one of the largest airlines in the region and
among the leading airlines in both regional and global markets. This
cooperation enables passengers of both airlines to benefit from the available
destinations and enhanced travel options. Customers will also be able to book
tickets to these destinations through all Kuwait Airways sales offices in
Kuwait, including the Call Center at 171.”
He added that this
cooperation with Emirates aligns with Kuwait Airways’ vision to provide more
diverse and flexible travel options for passengers in the region.
Al-Fagaan emphasised
that the agreement is within the framework of the national carrier’s strategic
plans to expand its international route network and strengthen its global
presence through effective partnerships with leading airlines. He noted that
this agreement contributes to providing high-quality services and seamless
travel experiences that meet the expectations of its valued customers while
enhancing Kuwait’s connectivity to the world.
Al-Fagaan concluded by
stating that this agreement will strengthen and develop relations between the
two companies, bringing mutual benefits to all parties involved. He also
expressed his sincere appreciation to the leadership of Emirates Airline and
extended his best wishes for continued success.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, said: "The expansion of our partnership with Kuwait Airways marks an important step that enhances travel options for our customers and strengthens connectivity across regional and global markets. This collaboration enables travellers of both airlines to access a wider network of destinations via Dubai and Kuwait, delivering greater value and a smoother travel experience. It also reinforces our commitment to working closely with Kuwait Airways to provide reliable services and integrated travel offerings that meet customer expectations and support the flow of travel and trade between our two countries." -TradeArabia News Service
