Bahraini students are showcasing their innovative technological projects at the Gitex Global 2025 exhibition, which opened today at the Dubai World Trade Center.

The first day also witnessed the launch of the third edition of BTECH’s "Tech Innovators" initiative, aimed at highlighting emerging Bahraini talent and empowering ICT students from local universities to present their solutions to an international audience within their participation at the International Business Hub organized by BTECH in collaboration with WorkSmart for Event Management.

This year’s edition is made possible through the generous support of leading Bahrain-based sponsors: GFH Financial Group, CrediMax, BMMI, and Khaleeji Bank, all of whom share a unified commitment to investing in youth development, innovation, and the advancement of the digital economy.

A group of Bahraini university students had the opportunity to present their most recent projects in the fields of ICT, artificial intelligence, application and platform development, and cybersecurity. They showcased their work before a distinguished audience of regional and international technology leaders, experts, and decision-makers. The participants also benefited from professional mentorship through a series of meetings and workshops held as part of the exhibition, which enhanced their readiness to enter the job market and contributed to building a generation of Bahraini leaders in the fields of technology and digital innovation.

The students further gained exposure to the latest global advancements in technology and explored innovative solutions to meet industry needs. They also presented their creative prototypes to investors and international technology companies, paving the way for new opportunities in professional development, entrepreneurship, and research.

Rashed Abdulla Alsnan, Chairman of BTECH, stated: “We are proud to launch the ‘Tech Innovators’ initiative for the third consecutive year during GITEX Global 2025. This initiative embodies our vision of connecting the academic, business, and technology sectors. We firmly believe that investing in youth is the truest form of investment in the future. Our students possess tremendous potential and innovative ideas that deserve to be shared with the world and translated into practical applications within a competitive business environment. We will continue our efforts to highlight Bahrain’s bright image as a hub for innovation, knowledge, and ambitious youth, and to strengthen its presence in international forums.”

Ahmed Al Hujairi, CEO of WorkSmart, stated: “The ‘Tech Innovators’ initiative has become a key national platform eagerly anticipated by university students each year. It offers a distinctive experience that combines learning, practical application, and direct engagement with the world’s leading tech institutions and companies. Showcasing Bahraini innovation within the International Business Hub places our young talents at the heart of the global innovation ecosystem and reinforces our efforts to equip the Bahraini market with capable, creative, and competitive national professionals, in line with national aspirations for an advanced and sustainable digital economy.”  -TradeArabia News Service
