Kuwait Oil Company awards $2.21bn Esp systems projects

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has announced that it has awarded contracts worth KD679.4 million ($2.2 billion) for the supply, installation, surveillance and maintenance of electrical submersible pumping (Esp) systems.

The project was awarded to following companies:

In the Group A, the first contract worth KD233.99 million was awarded to Alkhorayef Petroleum Company, while the second contract was awarded to Halliburton worth KD201 million.

Schlumberger too snapped up a contract worth KD169.96 million from KOC along with Chinese group Tianjin Rongheng Group which clinched a KD74.95 million contract.

According to KOC, the bidders proposals for all the seven packages were received in July.
