Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), in collaboration with the United Kingdom's Department for Business and Trade (DBT), is set to host a delegation from the United Kingdom (UK) next month at Fintech Forward 2025 (FF25) in Bahrain.
This strategic visit, spanning from October 7 to October 9, underscores the robust bilateral ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, and its continued progress in advancing trade, innovation, and cross-border partnerships across industries. Both nations have established themselves as being financial hubs within their geographies, jointly committed to fostering innovation, nurturing a future-ready talent pool, and maintaining progressive regulation, said an EDB statement.
Hosted by the Bahrain EDB, this year's edition of Fintech Forward, currently in its third iteration, will feature insightful keynote sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. It will also serve as a key platform for UK fintechs to showcase solutions, exchange insights with local industry professionals, and engage with key stakeholders across the island nation’s ecosystem.
In addition to attending FF25, highlights of the Bahrain–UK mission programme include meetings with the Bahrain Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Bahrain FinTech Bay, and a cultural tour of the Muharraq Pearling Path. This strategic collaboration showcases Bahrain’s evolving fintech ecosystem, strengthens cross-market collaboration, and drives investment and growth in digital financial services.
The second day of FF25 will feature a private workshop for the UK delegation entitled ‘Advancing Bahrain–UK Partnerships in Fintech and Innovation’, which will feature remarks from:
• Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development, Chief Executive of Bahrain Economic Development Board
• Khalid Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
• Alastair Long, British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain
• Katie Ramsey, Head of FinTech, Department for Business and Trade (DBT)
This will be followed by presentations from eight leading UK FinTech firms, highlighting innovative solutions and opportunities for cross-market collaboration. – TradeArabia News Service
