Under the patronage of H. E. Shaikha Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, prestigious award “Pravasi Mithra Award” was honored to Dr. K. T. Mohammed Rabeeh Rabeeullah on Thursday 18 August 2016 at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam Hall, Segaya for his outstanding contributions to community welfare and compassion of souls activities among the mankind.
This prestigious award for his noble and charitable activities over three decades to help fellow humans was presented by H. E. Shaikha Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa at the splendid function.
Rabeeullah is renowned for his philanthropic activities and for him charity begins at home in every sense. In 2013 he was conferred by the Honorable President of India with the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Award, the highest honour accorded to people of overseas Indian for their pioneering role in enhancing India's image globally.
He has recently started a charity initiative of 1.5 Million USD to be distributed within a span of three years for the needy and deserving families.
Bahrain Parliament Member Mr. Adel Al Assomi and Kairali Middle East Director Mr. E.M Ashraf were the Guest of honours and Noted Scholar, MP. Abdu Samad Samadani was the Chief Guest of the evening.
Award ceremony included a variety of cultural programs by Samajam children. Samajam President P.V. Radhakrishna Pillai. Samajam General Secretary N K Veeramani, BKS Executive Committee members, Samajam Members and non-members were also present at the function. Samajam President announced a Life Membership is also given to Dr. K.T. Rabeeullah at the function. President also added that the new Hall which will be inaugurated very soon will be known as “Dr. K.T. Rabeeullah Hall”.
