EPIQ Machinery, a leader in integrated material handling solutions for metals and mining, and pulp and paper industries, has announced its 50 per cent stake in FAFECO Group, one of India’s leading crane manufacturers.
By combining FAFECO Group’s strength in specialised crane manufacturing with EPIQ Machinery’s expertise in robotics and automation, the partnership aims to foster the next generation of smart, interconnected industrial operations.
“This acquisition is a natural step in our long-standing commitment to the Indian market,” said EQIQ Machinery chief executive Éloïse Harvey.
“FAFECO Group’s proven expertise in industrial cranes aligns perfectly with EPIQ’s vision of delivering fully integrated material handling solutions that combine robotics, automation and digitalisation to optimise industrial operations.”
FAFECO director Shyam Gurnani will retain a 50pc stake in the company and will continue to play a key leadership role in the overall management of EPIQ INDIA, which now includes FAFECO, ADF, STYMER, and NOVIMEQ.
Both groups aim to create highly automated and intelligent material handling solutions that integrate seamlessly with factory digital ecosystems, strengthening EPIQ Machinery’s ability to provide end-to-end solutions that improve the efficiency, safety and performance of its customers.

The company operates three manufacturing facilities in Pune, India, with an annual production capacity of 100 cranes.
FAFECO serves a global customer base, exporting to Europe and Asia.
