Alba, a safety leader in the global aluminium industry, has started its ‘Safety and Health’ campaign for Ramadan.
Launched ahead of the holy month, at the SHE Hall, under the theme ‘Be an Albawee in Ramadan’, the campaign aims at prioritising the safety and well-being of employees and contractors’ workers through a range of various interactive activities, including hybrid lectures by external and internal experts as well as plant visits – before and after Iftar – that foster meaningful engagement between management and shopfloor employees.
Present during the event were Alba executives, directors, managers, and employees from different departments.
The campaign’s inaugural three sessions, held from February 25 to 27, featured informative presentations on safety, food waste reduction, nutrition and exercise during Ramadan.
These sessions were delivered by Arab Open University (AOU) psychological and social counsellor Dr Masooma Kadhem, Supreme Council for Environment senior environmental specialist Sadiq Rahma, and Alba employee and bodybuilding coach Qasim Al Hammam.
