Tamkeen supports 16 Bahraini startups at Web Summit 2025

The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) said it is supporting 16 Bahraini startups at the Web Summit Qatar 2025, a three-day event that ends tomorrow.

The event, one of the world’s largest technology gatherings, brings together thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, and tech leaders, Tamkeen said.

The initiative aligns with Tamkeen’s 2025 strategic priorities, which focus on boosting the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, developing their skills, and prioritising enterprise growth, digitisation, and sustainability.

Participating startups will have the opportunity to connect with global entrepreneurs and investors, exchange ideas, and build partnerships, Tamkeen said.

They will also participate in panel discussions and pitch contests.

The Web Summit Qatar is expected to attract over 15,000 participants from 180 countries, including 400 investors and 1,000 tech startups.

Tamkeen offers various programmes to support the employment and career development of Bahraini nationals, aiming to make them the preferred choice for private sector employment.
