Alba Sports Festival a huge success

Multi-sport event – Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), in partnership with the International Sports Academies Federation (ISAF), successfully hosted the third edition of the Alba Sports Festival recently at Alba Club, Riffa.

Bringing together approximately 1,500 amateur athletes from 21 nationalities and 43 sports academies, the festival featured 18 sports competitions, including swimming, tennis, padel, football, darts, snooker, bowling, and walkathon, along with new events such as athletics, arm wrestling, strongest man, and fencing.

Alba’s chief executive officer, Ali Al Baqali, and ISAF chairman and Member of Parliament Ahmed Al Salloom, toured the festival activities, joined by Bahrain Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (BBFF) president Sami Al Haddad, representatives of sports bodies and institutions in Bahrain and Alba’s top officials.

“Held in conjunction with Bahrain Sports Day, the festival reflects Alba’s commitment to supporting youth and the sports sector, reinforcing the ‘Sports for All’ principle and fostering passion for an active lifestyle within the kingdom’s youth,” said an Alba representative.

In collaboration with local associations and societies, the event also promoted inclusivity, welcoming People of Determination to participate and showcase their talents across several competitions.
