Preparations stepped up for Alba Sports Festival

THE third edition of the Alba Sports Festival is scheduled to take place on January 31 and February 1, featuring 20 sports.

This was confirmed by festival director Saleh Almar.

The festival continues to solidify its position as one of the most prominent sports events in Bahrain, following the great success of its first and second editions. It is considered one of the most important local sporting occasions, attracting increasing attention year after year.

The 20 sports include football, basketball, swimming, bowling, tennis, padel, squash, Kyokushin karate, Shotokan karate, snooker, billiards, darts, powerlifting, walkathon, CrossFit, weightlifting, athletics, powerlifting, Energy Zone Combat, and Body for Life competitions.

Almar praised the significant support provided by Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) for the festival, highlighting their dedicated efforts to ensure its success and excellence.

He pointed out that the festival, held annually in conjunction with Bahrain’s National Sports Day in February, aims to promote the importance of sports and its ethical and humanitarian values. Additionally, it seeks to raise awareness about its health benefits and encourage citizens and employees to incorporate sports into their daily lives.

Almar added that the festival garners wide attention from athletes who eagerly await the event to compete in a friendly and competitive atmosphere.

He emphasised that the success of the previous edition marked a significant turning point, making the festival one of the most attractive sports events in the region.

He also mentioned that the organising committee is intensifying its preparations to ensure the festival’s success. He urged interested individuals to follow the festival’s social media accounts, @isaf.bahrain and @alba.sports.festival, for more details on the event schedule and games.
