Alba and Daiki Aluminium Industry Company have announced plans to form a joint venture, Alba-Daiki Sustainable Solutions (ADSS), to establish a state-of-the-art aluminium dross processing facility in Bahrain.
The partnership, announced at the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum, aims to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency in the aluminium industry. Alba will hold a 70 per cent stake in the joint venture, while Daiki will hold the remaining 30pc.
“This collaboration showcases how our kingdom’s advanced infrastructure, innovation-friendly policies, and talented workforce are attracting transformative projects,” said Sustainable Development Minister and Bahrain EDB chief executive Noor Al Khulaif.
The forum was attended by Alba chairman Khalid Al Rumaihi, Alba’s chief executive Ali Al Baqali, and Daiki Aluminium Industry Company chairman and representative director Yamamoto Takaaki.
Mr Al Rumaihi said: “Our partnership with Daiki Aluminium is a game-changer, setting new standards for sustainable aluminium production. By combining our strengths, we’re not only boosting efficiency but also driving Bahrain’s economic diversification and environmental goals.”
Mr Takaaki stated: “Our collaboration with Alba is a major step towards sustainable industrial development. By leveraging our expertise and Alba’s world-class operations, we’re contributing to Bahrain’s economic growth and its impressive non-oil GDP.”
