Royal Bahrain Hospital takes top regional CSR accolade

Royal Bahrain Hospital (RBH) received a top regional accolade at the prestigious Arabia Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability Awards 2024 held recently in the UAE.

The hospital came ‘1st Runner Up’ in the Healthcare Sector Category and was represented by KIMSHEALTH Group chief executive Dr Sheriff M Sahadulla, Group’s executive director Jacob Thomas, regional chief operating officer (Bahrain) Dr Ahmed AlRashid, Business Development Group head Paritosh Palav and RBH Quality Systems and Environment manager and Social and Governance officer Raghavi Damodaran.

The awards recognise organisations that lead by example for their outstanding leadership and CSR in the region. “This accolade highlights our dedication to embedding sustainability into our healthcare model,” said Dr Sahadulla. “We’re honoured to receive this acknowledgment, which reflects the hard work of our teams and our commitment to advancing both healthcare quality and environmental and social impact.”

RBH received a certificate of appreciation for its outstanding efforts in integrating sustainable practices into its operations, while continuously improving patient care and enhancing community well-being.

“This achievement reflects our continued commitment to integrating sustainability into our healthcare services and ensuring that we not only provide top-quality care but also contribute to the well-being of our communities and the environment,” added Mr Thomas.

RBH’s sustainability initiatives include reducing environmental footprints through waste management and energy conservation programmes, expanding community outreach efforts, and promoting preventive healthcare. These programmes align with RBH’s overarching goals of contributing to Bahrain’s economic sustainability and fostering a healthier, more resilient society.
